Kicking off in 1996, our attachment program focusses on high-ranking Malaysian government officials and future public administration executives. As a kind of practical “job shadowing” concept, the program offers participants a practical insight and exchange of experience in German companies, institutions and authorities. This practical training in Germany is accompanied by a customised program of seminars and professional visits.
The target group of the program are high-ranking officials from Malaysian ministries and decision-makers from affiliated administrative institutions. As a rule, 14 participants join the one-month program.
Developed as a modular training program, administrative executives are given the opportunity to familiarise themselves with current management techniques and modern administrative structures. The seminars include subjects such as human resources and change management, good governance and public-private partnerships, and is tailored to the respective group of participants. A number of companies and institutions are selected for the subsequent job shadowing for the individual participants. Finally, various specialised trade visits round off the program.
This program offers the German companies the opportunity to establish the initial contact with Malaysian ministries, and thus lay the foundation for future business activities. Renowned companies that have participated in this program so far include Bayer AG, BB Braun Melsungen, BMW AG, Deutsche Bahn AG, Deutsche Bildung Studienfonds, Forschungszentrum Jülich, Deutsche Technoplast GmbH, SAP, Schenker AG and Sick AG, as well as various federal and state ministries.
