Since 2020, our manager training programme has been virtual and interactive with a lot of personal exchange. Our participants, who come from Chile, Mexico, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, China and South Africa, were very enthusiastic; they experienced an unforgettable live training where they benefited from the content as well as the team spirit.
After years of experience, what used to be everyday business under normal conditions suddenly became a completely new challenge in 2020, the year we faced Corona. From August to October 2020, the first program with managers from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan took place in a completely new, virtual format.

The company's product range includes special adhesives and sealants, technical sprays as well as high-performance assembly pastes and greases for all areas of industry – from production, repair and maintenance to servicing. How can sustainability support business when it comes to the process of transforming the economy? This question is on the minds of experts all around the world. And what can China, for example, learn from Germany in terms of the Green Economy? This was the topic of a presentation held by Carl Duisberg Centren in cooperation with the Institut der Deutschen Wirtschaft (IW).
The capacity building program has been conceived to make the industrial sector in the region more sustainable and environmentally compatible through structural adjustment. The training program for Chinese experts and managers from the coal, coal chemical, foundry and mechanical engineering sectors were conducted in Jincheng and in Germany.
We are starting another 10-week virtual manager training programme “Fit for Partnership with Germany” with 20 managers from South Africa. This time, the focus will be on the SME sectors of South Africa and will include plant construction for industry and mining as well as food production.
