For over 20 years, the Carl Duisberg Centren has been organising university preparation courses for Malaysian SPM holders on behalf of Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA) and Telekom Malaysia Berhad.
Comprising various modules, our trainers prepare the participants on a 26-month intensive course for the requirements of studying and living in Germany and offering personal support for them during this time.
The goal is for them to be able to successfully complete the Australian Matriculation Course (AUSMAT) and learn German up to C1 level in order to study engineering at a technical college or university in Germany.
The scholarship program comprises different modules in Malaysia and Germany and is run in cooperation with Bandar Sunway College.
In Malaysia, they receive a 6-month intensive German language course before they begin the 12-month Australian Matriculation Course (AUSMAT) with additional German courses and intercultural preparation that they will have to successfully complete.
Once they arrive in Germany, they enter the practical orientation study preparation phase. The young participants take part in an intensive C1 level German course. In addition, they will be taught mathematics, physics and chemistry in German. Following this, they will complete an internship at leading German companies. They gain exciting insights into their future professional field as engineers.
We then help these future engineers during the application phase for German universities, paving the way for a successful career in their home country.
