Tenaga Nasional is Asia’s largest stock market listed energy service provider and a long-standing client of the Carl Duisberg Centren.
In 2017, Tenaga launched a large-scale and ambitious transformation program called “Re-imagining the Future of Tenaga Nasional Berhad“. The goal is to turn the major challenges faced by energy providers in times of climate change into new business opportunities.
The Malaysian energy service provider would like to ensure that the steadily increasing energy demand is met and, at the same time, make sure that the expansion and distribution of renewable energies from different energy sources is strongly promoted.
In discussions with the client, Carl Duisberg Centren developed various training programs for engineers and technicians who were to be trained in the field of “renewable energies”.
Tenaga’s technical staff had to acquire new know-how in the field of energy production from renewable energy sources. Decision-makers familiarised themselves with the German energy transition as best practice on benchmark tours, and trainers experienced technical and specific-didactic skill upgrading in various training courses as multipliers.
Carl Duisberg Centren accompanied the energy giant’s transformation journey and implemented various training courses with experts from Germany. The training programs took place at Carl Duisberg Centren in Cologne and with our long-term partners, the Arnsberg Vocational Training Centre, the Chamber of Crafts of South Westphalia and Siemens Power Academy.
