Program Example – Crisis Management

We regularly conduct specialized programs in the fields of crisis management, civil protection management and occupational safety on behalf of the Ministry of Emergency and Crisis Management of the People's Republic of China.

Target group

The program is goaled at experts and managers from Chinese authorities in charge of disaster management at the provincial level.

Objectives

The program is designed to provide insights into disaster management in Germany and crisis management in large German companies. Participants learn about the structures and discuss technical issues with relevant experts from authorities and companies.

      Establishing the conditions for effective crisis management:

      • The fundamentals of crisis management in Germany
      • What is the structure?
      • Who are the relevant stakeholders?
      • What rights and functions do they have?
      • How does cooperation work in crisis management?

      Ensuring the successful implementation of crisis management:

      • Meet the stakeholders on site
      • What are the stakeholders’ specific tasks?
      • How are they equipped?
      • What kind of crisis plans do they have?
      • How do they react in the event of a crisis?
    • Subjects dealt with in the seminars
      • The fundamentals of crisis management: the federal system and the legal basis for hazard prevention in Germany
      • Disaster management, fire protection, technical assistance and rescue services at a state level
      • Establishment of situation centres and crisis teams
      • Execution of tasks and operational provision of services by fire services and aid agencies
      • The role of volunteers in hazard prevention
      • Establishment of various rescue units and technical equipment
      • Training and further education of rescue (specialist) personnel
